We have classes taught entirely in Japanese and classes for students learning Japanese as a foreign language (JFL) that may include instruction in English depending on students’ abilities and objectives.
1. Heritage Japanese Courses
K1, K2, G1-G8 classes (Friday, 7:00 p.m. – 8:45 p.m.)
These classes are taught entirely in Japanese. Lessons include fun yet challenging activities including learning Hiragana in K classes along with reading, writing, speaking and listening Japanese skills in G classes
2. JFL Courses (Friday – Japanese as a Foreign Language)
KS, GS1-3, Youth1-4 classes (Friday, 7:00 p.m. – 8:45 p.m.)
These classes teach Japanese as a foreign language and may include instruction in English. Kodomo no Nihongo is used as the textbooks in both GS classes and Youth classes.
3. Adult Class (Thursday-Students of 18 years old and older)
The course provides systematic Japanese instruction using the Minna no Nihongo series of textbooks and focus on enabling students to communicate in Japanese with clear, proper pronunciation.
